Φτάσαμε Κασταμονίτσα και περπατήσαμε μέχρι στο χώρο κατασκήνωσης των ορειβατών που συμμετείχαν στην 29η Παγκρήτια Ορειβατική συνάντηση (τοποθεσία Μεσάδα). O Ορειβατικός Σύλογος Ηρακλείου διοργάνωσε κατασκήνωση από το Σαββάτο το απόγευμα. Εκεί οι διοργανωτές υποδέχονταν τους συμμετέχοντες με ρακί και ντόπιο πεντανόστιμο επτάζυμο, τυρί, ελιές, ξηρούς καρπούς, μήλα και νερό.
Ξεκινήσαμε να ανεβαίνουμε από το πέτρινο Μινωικό μονοπάτι το οποίο επισκευάστηκε επί Κρητικής Πολιτείας και να φτάσαμε στην κορυφή, στην ιστορική τοποθεσία «Τσούλη Μνήμα».

Στην συνέχεια ακολουθήσαμε τη κορυφογραμμή του όρους Λουλουδάκι έχοντας στα δεξιά μας το οροπέδιο του Λασιθίου. Ανεβαίνοντας στη κορυφή μας έπιασε ελαφριά ομίχλη η οποία όμως σύντομα διαλύθηκε. Συνεχίσαμε την κατάβαση για να φτάσουμε στην είσοδο του οροπεδίου, στη θέση «Αμπελος» όπου υπάρχουν τα ερείπια από τους παλιούς ανεμόμυλους.
Η πεζοπορία που διοργανώθηκε από τον ομίλο “Φίλοι βουνού και θάλασσας Ηρακλείου”, τη Κυριακή 27 Σεπτεμβίου 2009.
Η πορεία όπως καταγράφηκε από GPS που είχαμε μαζί μας, απεικονείστηκε σε χάρτη και ακολουθεί και video από μέλη του ομίλου.

We arrived at Kastamonitsa and walked to the campsite of mountaineers who participated in the 29th Pancretan meeting of Mountaineers (location called MESADA). The Mountaineering Club of Heraklion organized camping since Saturday afternoon.
The organizers welcomed the participants with raki and delicious local eptazymo (bread that is used to make rusk), cheese, olives, nuts, apples and water.
We started walking up the stone path that was initially built during the Minoan Period (circa 2700 to 1450 BC) and was reconstructed during the Cretan State Period (1898-1913).
We arrived at the top of the mountain at historic location «Tsoulis’ Grave».

We continued walking along the ridge of Mount Louloudaki having on our right the Lassithi Plateau. When we were reaching the top of the mountain Louloudaki we had fog but which soon disbanded. We continued descending and reached the entrance of the plateau of Lassithi at the location called «Ambelos» where there are ruins of the old windmills.
The hiking was organized by the group « Friends of mountain and sea of Heraklion «, on Sunday, September 27th, 2009.
The path as recorded by a GPS we had with us, is presented on map and you can also watch a video which were made by members of the group.
