H Χερσόνησος απέχει 25 χιλ. από το Ηράκλειο.

Οι φωτογραφείες που ακολουθούν είναι από το Λιμάνι της πόλης και την παλαιοχριστιανική εκκλησία που βρίσκεται εκεί στο κομμάτι ξηράς που εξέχει στο «πέταλο» του λιμανιού, στην εκκλησία της Αγ. Παρασκευής.

Επίσης υπάρχουν φωτογραφίες από το εκκλησάκι το Αγίου Νικολάου που είναι στην ανατολική πλευρά της πόλης, λίγο πριν από τα Μάλια.

Τέλη του Μάρτη, η περιοχή ετοιμάζεται για να υποδεχθεί τουρίστες.

Hersonissos is a very famous summer resort 25 km away from Heraklion.

The following pictures were taken March 2009 and you can see the port of the city and the Paleochristian Basilica on the small hill of St Paraskevi.

Then you can see the other Paleochristian Basilica located on the Eastern part of the city, just before reaching Malia.

At the end of March, everybody is preparing to be ready for the season and welcome the visitors.
