Τη Πέμπτη 18 Ιουνίου 2009 έγιναν τα εγκαίνια της έκθεσης «El Greco : Επιστροφή στην Πατρίδα». Η έκθεση στεγάζεται στην Πύλη Βηθλεέμ των Ενετικών Τειχών του Ηρακλείου.

Η έκθεση είναι μόνιμη αλλά για το ωράριο λειτουργίας δεν είμαι απόλυτα σίγουρη… Είδα 9:00 – 13:00 καθημερινά αλλά έχω την εντύπωση ότι λειτουργεί και απογεύματα και Σαββατοκύριακο. Θα επανέλθω, μετά από την επίσκεψή μου εκεί…
Last Thursday, June 18th 2009, the exhibition «El Greco returns home» opened. This is hosted at Gate Vithleem of the Venetial Walls Heraklion, which is close to the Tomb of Nikos Kazantzakis (some minutes walking time). The exhibition has one othendic painting of Dominikos Teotokopoulos, «The Baptise» and many paintings and items used for the film of Mr Smaragdis, «El Greco» (the official site and its reference at the Internet Movie Database ).
