To 13o Λύκειο Ηρακλείου επισκεύτηκε το Δημοτικό Διαμέρισμα του Πλατάνου και φύτεψαν 13 χαρουπιές από τη Κρήτη. Όπως λέει και ο καθηγητής τους, είναι χρέος του κάθε πολίτη να κάνει κάτι και όχι να μένει στα λόγια. Περισσότερα στο video που ακολoυθεί.
You might have heard and seen videos and “pictures” from the fires that destroyed a big area in Peloponisos in Greece, last summer. It was a big fire and pictures like this one were published to show how many fires were on at the same time. We lost 70 people and many acres of forest and cultivation were turn into ashes.
Recently, a school of Heraklion went to visit the district and they took with them 13 trees (to be equal to the name of the school, it was the 13th High School of Heraklion) and planted them. As their teacher who accompanied them says, they wanted to show by example that “each citizen must act and not just comment about things happening”.
As usual, the video is from the local channel and in Greek. But it will give you some picture of how the place is, almost one year after.
